Some things about being a roadie never changes, I guess it’s just like any other profession, or sport there’s always some bantering going on, for me I usually enjoy picking on the audio or backline guys, but my razzing and sometimes friendly banter is because of what you see in the picture, there’s a cable ramp that we (video) put down, to run our cables across an entrance along the back of the stage, somebody (audio) ran their snake along the same cable path, over our cable ramp to video world, and then just left it there. It’s a roadie foul to be lazy, it’s such a basic thing, I’m mean it’s all good till the artists (bless their hearts) trip over that cable and something happens to them, then we’re out of a job, because lets face it, we depend on them to not be stupid, or clumsy, and it’s our job to put the cables in the cable ramps, the tour could be over because somebody didn’t want to run a cable through the cable ramp, the artist gets hurt and can’t do the hour worth the work that we set up all day for, then there goes our paycheck you know?
This is something I have a lot of pictures of “roadie fouls” I’ve been thinking about starting a picture blog just for roadie foul pictures, most of the pictures would be from stupid things I’ve done just to make a gig work, or me being stupid.

That is pretty lazy…and stupid. I mean, even I could have figured that out. LOVE YOU!
