Yesterday was my Mom‘s (on the right) birthday, I love this picture because she was giving goofy five, that’s just awesome! I was working a gig in Daytona and we were able to get together in Orlando and have breakfast at one of the Disney resorts, this was at the beginning of the year, it was awesome, we had waffles that were in the shape of Mickey, and jelly beans for a after breakfast desert I guess. My mom has always been there for me, I remember growing up on the road in a ministry, my parents were the only friends I had, going from town to town, so they would try and do things with me that friends would do, like for example, my mom took me to a Petra/White Heart/Johnny Q Public/Grammatrain concert, I can still remember it, it was in a church somewhere in GA, near another church that we were doing ministry in, so me being a huge fan of music and at the time only knowing about christian music I was ecstatic to see these guys, I mean it was in the area of Beyond Belief, and Bob Hartman was still playing for Petra at the time, and…. I mean Johnny Q Public and Grammatrain! Hello!! Both lead singers were just amazing, even now looking back I have to admit those were the days when we had good music. (haha jab)
Anyway the point is she went with me to this show, stood in line with me afterwards so I could meet the bands! That’s just awesome, I wish I could give my mom everything she wants for her birthday, like she tried to do for as a kid! Happy Birthday Mom!!
